Tail of the Dragon!!! WARNING PLEASE READ ALL.

Crossing Deals Gap at the Tennessee/North Carolina state line, the Dragon is considered by many as one of the world's best motorcycling and sports car roads. Anyone looking for an exciting highway adventure will enjoy this stretch of US 129. Riders and drivers from all over the USA and many foreign countries come to enjoy our many mountain roads. The Tail of the Dragon is usually the biggest attraction for thrill seekers. The eleven miles features 318 curves none of which are the same. There are no buildings or driveways along the roadside, just the Great Smoky Mountain National Forest on the north side and a large forested area owned by Alcoa Aluminum on the south side. The road has been featured in many motorcycle magazines, most recently in Rider (October 2002) and Road Runner (Summer 2001). Articles in National Geograpic Adventure (August 2002, February 2003), Makes and Models (June 2002), and Competetive Edge (May/June 2002) have also noted the unique attractions of the road. It was voted the number one motorcycle road in the United States in a Buell Motorcycle website survey. The Dragon begins on the North Carolina side at Fugitive Bridge with a view of the Cheoah Dam where Harrison Ford jumped in the movie The Fugitive. It ends 14 miles across the mountain at the Tabcat Creek Bridge in Tennessee. US 129 climbs through The Slide, a steep series of "S" curves. The road then levels and straightens until a series of curves approaching Deals Gap and the Tennessee State Line. We'll leave the next eleven miles and 318 curves for you to describe after you ride it. Many just remember curve after curve after curve and surviving the run of their lives. After riding many other twisties, we always come home to the Dragon and rate it the best of them all.

The Miracle League Ride
Raleigh, NC
No Rules Riders is an official sponsor of the Orioles of The Miracle League of the Triangle.
The date has been set for this fundraiser
The rest is in the planing stages.

What the Miracle League of the Triangle is:
It is a Baseball League that gives ALL handicapped children the chance to play baseball regardless of their disabilities; this includes children who are blind, have Autism, Down’s syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and even children who are wheelchair bound.

Day of the Miracle League Ride
Before the game the athletes will visit with the motorcycle riders and be able to sit on their bikes.
Each athlete will be given a toy motorcycle to take home in remembrance of the day’s events.

Why the MLT needs our help:
This organization is non-profit. There are over 200 Miracle League organizations across the country. There are currently 100 fields under construction. Donations provide for uniforms, equipment, and specialized fields that are designed specifically for handicapped children.

The Miracle League of the Triangle needs our help to expand! There are over 20 teams in our area and there are many more children who want to join! We want to help provide the uniforms, equipment, and fields so that all children who want to will have the chance to play!

How you can help:
No Rules Riders, our motorcycle group, is having its 4th annual fundraiser ride on September 18, 2010. We are asking the community to help by making corporate or personal monetary donations or by donating door prizes/gift certificates to be given out at the end of the ride. 100% of money raised will go directly to the Miracle League of the Triangle.

1 - Money:
We will have a great looking Miracle League Ride T-shirt that will be sold at the event. A $250.00 minimum donation is required for your name or company name to be proudly displayed on the shirt. There are also two $500.00 spots one of each for each sleeve.
Even after the spots on the shirt are sold out we will still be excepting cash donations. Recognition will be give to all large donors.

2 - Ideas for Door Prizes and Gifts Certificates:
*Gift cards of $50.00 with t-shirt from your company
*Merchandise from your company
*Vacations and rentals

3 - Getting the word out about the Miracle League Ride:
We are in need of publicity about the Miracle League of the Triangle and about The Miracle League Ride. If you know anyone in the media that can help with this it would be greatly appreciated.

Where is the Field:
Adams Elementary School, 805 Cary Towne Boulevard across from the Cary Towne Center Mall

Virginia City Run!
Reno/Virginia CityNevada
Since this thing won't let me post an ongoing/weekly event I figured I would just give it an advanced date to work towards. Every weekend that there is no other event that conflicts with it, we will ride from the Reno area to the largest Historical Landmark in the United States, Virginia City Nevada. Anyone wishing to join is welcome to enjoy the freedom of no rules, the mountain roads, a town full of bikes, bikers and Babes and refreshments. Contact Me (Sparks) for meeting place and time as this is a loose program and will change from week to week.
